Kindred Learning Lab will be in the PEACE FOR KIDS room. This is a place where kids come to have fun, learn new things, and make friends.
Our Team
At Kindred Learning Lab our facilitators are Registered Behavior Techs. They are adults who help me and keep me safe. It is important to remember I can ask for help anytime.
Aja Fischer (Lead Teacher): Ms. Aja plans all our fun learning activities and helps make sure every day is full of new things to discover!
Bethany Anan (Lead BCBA / Clinical Support): Beth is our team leader who makes sure every kid gets exactly the kind of help that works best for them.
Natalie Bedon (Lead RBT / BCaBA): Mrs. Natalie helps lead our group and works closely with our team to make sure every kid gets great support.
My Daily Routine
Some days my schedule will be the same. Update the rows/times below to match each track's actual routine; duplicate the table for additional groups.

Some Important Things to Know
Water & Healthy Drinks
Having plenty to drink is important. I will bring a refillable water bottle each day.
Label All Personal Belongings
Everything I bring should have a label with my name on it. There will be a lost and found.
Things I Should Bring From Home Each Day
Change of clothes (if you need it), lunch, snacks.
Footwear
No shoes in the room. There are cubbies for shoes when you enter. Kids can wear grippy socks, socks, or be barefoot.
Things I Should NOT Bring
I should NOT bring: Glass containers, food with nuts, pets, personal toys that cannot be shared, or weapons of any kind.
Other Kids
There will be other kids at Kindred Learning Lab. Some may be my age, and some may be older or younger. I can play with them or talk to them if I want to.
Breaks
Sometimes it can be noisy or busy. If I need a break, I can tell a facilitator. It's okay to take a break.
What We'll Do
At Kindred Learning Lab, I will do fun activities like games, arts and crafts, social skills practice, and movement. I might try new things, and that's okay! Some things we will do are:
Musical Chairs
A classic for a reason! Musical Chairs is all about listening, moving fast, and laughing a lot! It is a fun way to practice taking turns and going with the flow.
Sensory Play
Squishy, crunchy, bouncy, smooth! Sensory Play is all about exploring textures and materials that feel awesome and help your body feel calm and ready to go.
Group Dance Party
Turn up the music and shake out the wiggles! Group Dance Party is a judgment-free zone where we move however feels good and have a blast doing it together.
Real Life Roblox
Love Roblox? Now you get to be the character! We turn our favorite game challenges into real, hands-on missions and obstacle courses you can run, build, and solve in person.
Some Expectations for Kindred Learning Lab
It's important to know what we expect from you and what you can expect from us. The expectations help keep everyone safe and happy. We will all do our best with the skills we have and keep learning new ones along the way!
- I will share the toys and materials with others.
- I will play nicely with friends.
- I will take turns with others.
- If I have a problem or am upset, I will let someone know.
- I will stay in the room.
- If I need help with ANYTHING, I will ask for help. .
- I can take a break if I need to.
EXPECTATIONS ARE IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE! LEARNING IS FUN!
If you want more or less instruction we offer different levels of assistance for our center's activities.
More to know. No forced compliance. Just offerings.
Offerings levels
- Level 1- Observation
- Level 2- Observation and Connection
- Level 3- Observation, Connection, and Interaction
- Level 4- Observation, Connection, Interaction, and Expansion
You can let Ms Aja know what you want or need in order to participate. We are always providing Level 1, but if a child wants more and offers the interaction and willingness to expand on the curriculum, we will continue to expand on the offering as they continue to move through the activity.
Kits will be provided to each child in order for them to participate and not have to ask for the supplies. They can each access their kits with all the items they need to choose how much or little they need us to interact with them while we work on our activities.
We Will Have Fun
Kindred Learning Lab is a place to have fun and make new friends. Our team is excited that I will be coming this session!
The session will end each day at either 12 or 1 depending on age.
At the end of the day, someone I know will pick me up and take me home.
